Why did you choose to specialise in Prosthodontics?
As a dentist, I was often faced with aesthetically challenging and complex cases that required advanced skills for accurate planning and management. I am passionate about cosmetic, implant and reconstructive dentistry and wanted to specialise in this area. Hence, I committed to a 3-year specialist training program (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry, Prosthodontics) at the University of Sydney.
What is your favourite thing about the work you do?
Achieving beautiful outcomes, improving patient’s smile and confidence is one of the most gratifying things for me as a Prosthodontist.
What are three things you wish more people knew about your line of work?
Prosthodontics is the area of dentistry that is exclusive and premium in that patients are treated:
- Comprehensively and in a well-planned manner
- With great attention to detail
- Systematically with a clear knowledge of success criteria and end results.
If you weren’t a Prosthodontist what would you be doing?
Working in the entertainment industry or interior designing.
What is something people don’t know about you?
I enjoy fashion, English literature and all things beautiful.
Finally, what quote do you feel best describes you/your philosophy in life?
‘To succeed you have to believe in something with such a passion that it becomes a reality.’
