Crowns

When your teeth are extensively damaged with decay, fractures or cracks, a crown may be required to give the tooth strength and restore its natural appearance. Crowns are fabricated from ceramic, porcelain or metal in a dental laboratory and require several appointments to be prepared and fitted to your tooth. Crowns can offer the excellent long-term outcomes that you expect. Continue Reading

Bridges, Implants and Dentures

There are several tooth replacement options available depending on your needs. Dentures offer a removable option for replacement of missing teeth and are often appropriate when there are multiple missing teeth. Bridges are fixed to your natural teeth and are generally only suitable for smaller gaps. Implants are placed surgically and are an alterative option if you wish to have a fixed solution. We refer to specialists for implant placement. Continue Reading

Root Canal Treatment

Infections within the root canal system of the tooth can occur from deep decay, trauma and cracks. Root canal infection can cause pain and loss of the bone that surrounds the tooth. We use specialist equipment and place medications within the tooth to resolve the infection and then fill the root of the tooth to prevent infection form recurring. Continue Reading

Mouthguards

Why risk damaging your teeth doing the things you love? Wearing a mouthguard is a simple solution for protecting your teeth when playing sports. Off-the-shelf mouthguards can be uncomfortable and poorly fitting. We can custom-make your mouthguard by taking an accurate mould of your teeth. We use high quality materials to give you the highest possible protection. Continue Reading

Occlusal Splints

Many people grind and clench on their teeth when sleeping which can cause wear and tear on the teeth and muscle and joint discomfort. There are many reasons why this can occur and we individually assess every patient for this problem. In some cases it may be recommended that you wear a splint over your teeth at night to prevent damage to your teeth when you are sleeping.

Some oral health problems can require more complex treatments, which utilise specialised skills and equipment. In order to reduce the costs for you we endeavour to manage many problems within our clinic. However, if we feel that your oral health requires a dental or medical specialist we will discuss referral options with you. Situations that could require a specialist referral include orthodontics, advanced gum disease, complex root canal treatments and implants.
